The inspiration for Pets Unleashed, the Dorchester-area company owned
by Sue and Dean Bedell and neighbours Mary and Frazer Andrews, was
their dogs, Otis and Barklee, Sue Bedell says.
"We believe that our pets deserved a special place to hang
their leashes," she says. "Our company creates wrought-iron
pet leash holders custom-made in your pet's name."
The holders also make a handy place to hang horse tack, kid's stuff
and even keys, she adds.
The flat black-painted holders range in price from $55 for a two-hook,
three-letter model to $75 for a four-hook, 10-letter unit, plus shipping
and applicable taxes, according to the company website.

Dorchester-area residents Mary Andrews, left,
and Sue Bedell make custom leash holders with the pet's name incorporated
into the design. Dogs Barklee, left, and Otis inspired the enterprise.
